WHAT IS A SPARK MEMBER?

The Spark Community is made up of artists, skilled craftspeople, DIYers, students, teachers, engineers, hobbyists, activists, and anyone else looking to experiment with or learn a new skill! We work together, play together, improve the community together, and make together.

Spark has given me opportunities I have not had since college: my work in gallery shows and an outlet to share my skills with others through the courses I teach. Most importantly, my skill set, my work, and my character continue to evolve and are enriched by the interactions and collaborations that happen at Spark.

Spark gives me the creative outlet I have needed since leaving SoCal and provides a balance between work and creative play.

Spark Makerspace is a glowing addition to New London's resurrection as an arts & cultural pulse in Southeastern Connecticut.

MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

GENERAL MEMBER

$55/MONTH

General members pay a $55 monthly membership fee for shared access to all of our workstations from 10a - 10p, 7 days a week. Membership also includes discounts on classes, entry into certain member-only events, and an invitation to participate in the direction of Spark through member meetings and leadership positions.

WORKING MEMBER

$30/MONTH

After a month of being a General Member, members can propose to be a working member. Working members, like general members, get access to all Spark facilities and other member benefits above. In exchange for volunteering 8 hours each month, working members receive a discounted membership rate of $30/month and other occasional perks like appreciation events and additional input into Spark decisions.

SUPPORTING MEMBER

Supporting members believe in the mission of Spark and voluntarily contribute a recurring donation to help us to maintain operations and programming. These supporters do not have open access to our workstations; however, Spark may occasionally host appreciation events, invitation-only making activities, or other perks for our supporting members.
