General members pay a $65 monthly membership fee for shared access to all of our workstations from 6a - 10p, 7 days a week. Membership also includes discounts on classes, entry into certain member-only events, and an invitation to participate in the direction of Spark through member meetings and leadership positions.
Supporting Members don't use the space but donate monthly to support Spark Makerspace's mission! Take advantage of our membership discounts on classes and events and other member benefits. Turn your supporting membership into a General Spark Membership any time by scheduling a general orientation and get seven days a week access to Spark.
Spark offers a Dual Membership to two adults residing at the same address. The cost is $100 a month. Dual Membership is otherwise exactly like General Membership.
Thanks to the Frank Loomis Palmer Foundation Spark Makerspaces offers scholarships to help toward one of its main goals: accessibility. We offer Scholarships to makers who would like to access our space but do not have the financial resources to afford a membership. We award a limited number of scholarships every year.
COMMUNITY AND MEMBERSHIP
"Spark has given me opportunities I have not had since college: my work in gallery shows and an outlet to share my skills with others through the courses I teach. Most importantly, my skill set, my work, and my character continue to evolve and are enriched by the interactions and collaborations that happen at Spark."
"Spark gives me the creative outlet I have needed since leaving SoCal and provides a balance between work and creative play."
"Spark Makerspace is a glowing addition to New London's resurrection as an arts & cultural pulse in Southeastern Connecticut."
WHAT IS A SPARK MEMBER?
The Spark Community is made up of artists, skilled craftspeople, DIYers, students, teachers, engineers, entrepreneurs, hobbyists, and anyone else looking to experiment with or learn a new skill! We work together, play together, improve the community together, and make together.
